Understanding the REAL ESTATE MARKET

I'm always amazed as I talk with people how really very little knowledge that they have in understanding the real estate market.

For instance: they do not understand that you can have a buyers agent and then there is the sellers agent.

So many times I have sold to a client, they loved my service, they were very pleased in how the whole transaction went. I had found the home or condo for them.


Then they go to purchase again somewhere and they go right to the listing agent to buy the property. When I tell them that agent is representing the seller, I would have thought you would contact me to represent you as buyers agent, being you loved all I did for you.


They will say, "Oh, I didn't know that you could help us on this purchase."

AND also: when a " For sale By Owner" has a sign in their yard, I tell them be ready for the realtors to start knocking on your door saying they have a buyer for their home.


I tell them this is when you say, " OK I'll give you an Authorization to show". Then IF THAT AGENT DOES HAVE A BUYER, THEN OK, you pay them 3%. BUT WHAT MOST AGENTS ARE TRYING TO DO IS GET YOUR LISTING. So, home owners, I would love to give a seminar on the 101 of Real Estate.
